HomeTogether is a program of Caring Companions In-Home Senior Care ("Caring Companions," "we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through the HomeTogether service and website (tryhometogether.com), how we use and share it, and the choices you have. Because HomeTogether supports the health and wellbeing of older adults, some of the information we handle is sensitive, and we treat it with care.

Information we collect

Account & contact information, the name, address, email, and phone number of the account holder, the person receiving care, and the family members and emergency contacts you add.

Payment information, processed securely by our payment provider (Stripe). We do not store full card numbers on our own systems.

Health & wellness information, information generated through the service, such as video visit records and notes, medication and appointment reminders, biometric readings you choose to take with connected devices (for example blood pressure, weight, temperature, pulse-ox, and glucose), and activity and environmental signals (such as motion and room conditions) used to support safety and check-ins.

Device & usage information, information about the Wellness Hub and app, including connectivity, settings, and how the service is used, to keep it working and secure.

How we use your information

To provide the HomeTogether service, including video calls, reminders, virtual caregiver visits, and wellness monitoring;
To support safety, for example, alerting your designated emergency contact if, at the time of a scheduled visit, a caregiver observes signs that a loved one may need help;
To process orders, billing, and subscriptions, and to ship and support equipment;
To respond to requests and provide customer support;
To maintain, secure, and improve the service; and
To comply with legal obligations.

How health information is protected

The HomeTogether platform is designed to meet HIPAA and GDPR standards. Video calls and health data are encrypted, access is limited by role (family, caregiver, and staff each see only what's appropriate), and the Wellness Hub includes a privacy shutter that physically covers the camera when it is not in use. Where we handle protected health information on behalf of a healthcare provider, we do so consistent with applicable agreements.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to provide the service:

With people you authorize, the caregivers, care coordinators, family members, and emergency contacts connected to the account, according to the permissions you set in your portal;
With our technology and service providers, including the provider of the underlying Wellness Hub platform (Vantiva Smart Spaces / HomeSight), our payment processor (Stripe), and shipping and support vendors, who may process information only to provide services to us;
For safety and legal reasons, to protect the health or safety of a person receiving care, or when required by law.

Data security & retention

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, including encryption and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect information appropriate to its sensitivity. We keep information for as long as needed to provide the service and to meet legal, tax, and recordkeeping requirements, then delete or de-identify it.

Your choices & rights

You can review and update account information, manage contacts and call settings (including whether calls answer automatically), and request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information by contacting us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or state privacy laws; we honor those rights as required.

Children

HomeTogether is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll revise the "last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
